Hawks have been hanging around our woods more this winter than they ever have in the past, and they seem to be getting bolder, getting closer to the house so I can actually see them (or maybe I'm just better able to spot them). I haven't found any remains yet, though.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15791185232391134319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7757093280387768593.post-75355088988893165892009-03-04T08:35:00.000-05:002009-03-04T08:35:00.000-05:00Beautiful feathers! Sadly, it succumbed not long after it arrived, but I took the opportunity to play with its tongue. My staff thought me a little morbid, but I was engrossed. They were grossed out.

Thanks, as always, for bringing nature up close and personal.

~KathiKathihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13186814675058675885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7757093280387768593.post-15415563104717347612009-03-04T01:30:00.000-05:002009-03-04T01:30:00.000-05:00...those feathers are beautiful.
