Listening to Spring

Spring whispers in a warm breeze,

backlit by afternoon sun,
that scurries through bare branches
and brushes past your cheek.

Spring murmurs in the morningsong,
filling the dimness of dawn
with overlapping voices
in a tapestry of sound.

And when fresh flowers
fall open to follow the sun,

it is as if spring has shouted.

I love your poem...one of my favorite things is the early morning sounds of the song birds in the spring.

I am greeen. Not because it is nearing St Patty's Day but because everyone is showing me pictures of bees. I haven't seen a bee in our garden yet this year. WHINE... I love seeing crocus wide open, soaking up the sunshine. They look just how I feel in the spring sunshine.

We're close and I am finding myself rather impatient.
