It was a rainy, foggy night.
(No, really.)
And we did gather to meet and greet.
Trixie, Kathi, Susan and I—at Trixie’s mom’s house, not far from where I live.
Four bloggers from very different worlds, for a moment, together in one room-- sharing an evening of wine and stories.
Though we follow each other’s lives in our published posts, a chance to connect the dots, fill in the blanks.
To discover the real people behind their written faces.
Trixie’s mom was warm and generous to share her space with us. And Vivi and Isabelle, two adorable girls, more captivating in person than their moms’ photographs could ever capture.
A reminder that the writings and stories we so easily encounter and quickly scroll past each day, are far more than words and pictures.

A very warm post, Nina. It illustrates so well how blogging brings us together and strengthens connections.
Nina, sounds wonderful. Wish I could have been there!
Nina,
it was so wonderful to meet you in person. You are such a caring, warm and fun person. Thanks so much for coming over. I hope to do it again.
Sounds you all had a lovely time!
Unfortunately I don't know in person my blog's friends....
what a nice post--it really enriches my life to find so many people on line with the same interests and the ability to put their interests into words and pictures.
It was such a fun time, until the late-night drive home on twisty, hilly Rt 48, in a terrific fog. I got as far as my mom's condo in Cherry Grove and crept quietly in at midnight to slide between the sheets of her guest bed. It would have been another hour drive to my home, and then up early to be back at work at 8am. Guess I'm getting too old for all this gadding about.
~Kathi, off to catch a nap before blogging
How wonderful you all got together. It was foggy here last night too. Wish I could have been there.
I wondered what Kathi was doing, getting on the wrong on-ramp....
What a fun time. It was so COOl to meet you. Now we can say that we actually KNOW each other!
Let's do it again!
I would have loved to be there. I'm jealous.
Sounds like a great time and would have loved to join you gals, but not sure if you would have wanted a guy mixed in!
Sounds like fun! You're right to point out, I think, how neat it is to put faces to the people we read about everyday.
I would have loved to have been there to meet you all (and see Susan again!)
