Rain

Finally--the rain
soaks dry earth, so long wanting
puddles to play in.

Rain? Rain? We got SNOW! Not a lot but enough to cover my car and make me think about what's coming. It's not that I don't like it, it's that I hate driving in it.

I love your bird bath, it goes perfectly in your pretty yard.

This is our first day without rain, but now it's cold and feels like winter.

What a wonderful birdbath! I was saying to a friend earlier this fall that I want to get one for next summer. This is the one I'm going to look for. Here's hoping they sell them in Ontario! Love your little verse about the puddles, too. I love the rain.

Deborah--I THINK the birdbath was found at Smith & Hawken, a store that has both its own storefront and also sells some items through the Target chain. Take a look?

Hi Nina. Thanks for visiting my blog. Yes, I love calico's. My vet says Daisy is actually called a tortoise-shell, but the difference seems minimal to me. My family also has along love affair with Boston Terriers.

I love Nature Blogs and am going to add you to my blog roll!

Many beautiful photographs here! Love, Dana

A great post, Nina--a creative "R", a great photo, and a lovely poem to go with it.

We are having a sunny day here today, but if any rain falls, it will probably turn into snow instead.

Since our drought began in 2005, I find myself infatuated with puddles.

Lovely post.

I love haiku, and yours is wonderful! Perfect R post. If you stop by my neck of the blog woods, you'll find I also, in my case, attempt to write haiku to photos.
Must say, you're much better!

Wonderful R for ABC!

What a pretty photo for rain! And delightful haiku to complement it!

Rain is no rarity here! It's a regular and relentless thing, requiring dog-walkers like me to own raincoats that really repel water!

Lovely birdbath! And I know that birds are grateful for the rain especially when there are no streams or watering places nearby!
