Sunset

I race, every day, home from work, to walk outdoors and catch a glimpse of daylight before the sun sets, again.
As the glow drops to the horizon, I frantically tie sneakers, grab the camera, and set out, for some exercise and sizzling shots--pressing to a clearing where the view is free of roofs and treetops.

Or, at least roofs--because trees add fingers of contrast.
And give the sun a place to play hide-and-seek.
Before it slips away.

On a day when I can only catch a moment of fresh air,
a glorious sunset fills me.

Beautiful sunsets. I do regret that our house in a holler has hills blocking the horizon on 3 3/4 sides, making sunset photos impossible without taking a lengthy uphill hike.

These two are very nice photos, Nina. I think these sunsets are so nice.

Two stunning shots Nina.. I like the last one because of the coloring the best but the first one is certainly a stunner.

That was such a pretty sunset. I love how the colors are warming as the seasons warm. I love to play hide and seek thru the trees too! :)

These are gorgeous sunset pictures. If I tried to take some I would have power lines and houses in the fore ground which are not very appealing even though from time to time I see some pretty colors peaking between the houses and powerlines.
