Daylight stays with us long enough now to be able to enjoy sunshine after dinner.
And, for the first time this spring, a walk sans winter wrappings.
The remnants of our rainy day blow past.
The trees are still bare against the brilliant blue sky. On the pavement beneath them, their dainty red flowers scattered and fallen in March's final breeze.
The air smells of freshness and frogs.
Spring rains puddle in the cornfield--
And the wide open space of this country road fades into darkness.

What fantastic Sky pictures... why not join in with Sky Watch Friday... I host it each week and it's a bit of fun. Pictures like these are just perfect, but anything to do with the sky will do. Older pictures are welcome. Last week over 100 joined in. I and a few others do visit all, but it is not something I expect others to do.. if you have time just pop by one or two blogs you have never see before and say hello. If you want to join in you are most welcome.. just put your link and name down each Friday and sit back and enjoy.

Thanks for the invite--I love the beauty of skies, and this time of year there seems to be so much drama!
Funny how the clear blue we desire, often is rather bland, compared to the texture and light that clouds create!
Beautiful, beautiful pictures, Nina, as well as beautiful words. The clouds always fascinate, and bare tree branches against them.
Breathtaking, absolutely breathtaking. And (as usual) your words are sheer poetry. What a wonderful post. Thanks for sharing.
Nina-
Fantastic shots. Really quite beautiful.

I particularly like the last picture and the reflection in the water. Our Red Maples had bloomed by the end of March last year, but not this year.
Such stirring skies, lovely.
I am such a dork, I have such a fascination for clouds and these are such amazing photos of the sky!
You have captured a gorgeous spring sky. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Speaking of sharing, if you would like, please e-mail me your snail mail address, as I have something for you.

So pretty... pictures and words... We are getting some clear skies today... Good for Maddie's first track meet!
Beautiful and a little haunting. The trees are still bare against the twilight sky.
Nina, how true is boring blue,
give me a tattered sky instead.
