This post is great and photos. I agree with your comment on beauty that isn't usually appreciated. My first photos of bumble bees thrilled me. They are kind of heavy but make their way:

Yes, bumblebees.
And although I usually steer clear of anything that stings, these fellows were so engrossed in their work, I was able to get reeeal close without any cares.
Mary even has one airborne!

Cool bumblebee pix. Those milkweed flowers must taste as sweet as they smell - at least to a bumblebee or butterfly.

I wonder if there isn't a little bumblebee in all of us --- we can do things we think we can not do.
